ABOUT OUR INSTRUCTOR:

Zoe Steinfield (or Khayele Shteynfeld in Yiddish-speaking spaces) is a social worker and a Yiddishist (a proponent of both the language and culture) based in Detroit. She owes her knowledge of Yiddish to years of study with Sasha Berenstein (Kadima Reconstructionist Synagogue, Workers Circle, Yiddish Book Center), as well as attending intensive courses with YAAANA and Queer Yiddish Camp, language immersion programming at Yugntruf’s Yiddish Vokh, and a little Duolingo every day.
